Let me introduce you to one of the oddest characters you will ever meet: a Northern Midshipman. It’s a deep ocean fish that comes into the shallows to spawn. Besides that, it has some other amazing qualities.

Love your videos dear Roland! I get excited too – I started wading in the shallows, exploring and lifting rocks as a child and I am still fascinated and enchanted.
I don’t think I ever heard of the midshipman fish – such a unique fellow earthling.
