Homeopathy
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a complete medical system that was developed in Germany more than 200 years ago. It is often confused with herbal medicine, though these two systems of medicine are very different.
The main features of homeopathic medicine are:
- Highly-individual
Homeopathy is a highly-individualistic form of medicine focusing on your special needs. The individuality of the patient is highly respected. Each patient is treated as a unique whole. The treatment is not based on a simple diagnosis like gastritis or depression, but on the totality of the symptoms and the characteristics of the personality. The more chronic a problem is, the more crucial it is that all facets of the patient are paid attention to. - Holistic
Homeopathy is a healing art which includes the whole person. Not only is the diseased organ being treated, but all of the person’s complaints are taken into consideration for choosing the right remedy. In return, the treatment shows its effect on all levels of your well-being. You might come to see me because of a physical condition, but in the course of the treatment you will discover that your emotional and mental well-being improve as well. - Medicine-based
A Homeopathic treatment is always medicine-based. The remedies a homeopath prescribes are made from natural substances. They are non-toxic and without side effects. In that way, they are gentle on the body and gentle on the planet.
The original substance used to prepare the remedy, is, in a specific process, diluted and succussed (shaken strongly), so that in the end the remedy works on an energetic level. The remedy gives your organism very specific information and subtle impulses to mobilize all of its amazing healing capacities.
Like cures Like
This is the basic principle of homeopathy. It means that a substance which can cause certain disturbances in a healthy person can cure those very same disturbances once it is transformed into a homeopathic remedy.
The classical Greek poet Euripides tells us the story of king Telephos, who had been wounded in battle by the hero Achilles’ spear. The wound did not heal. Then Apollo’s oracle revealed: “Who had wounded, will heal.” King Telephos was taken to Achilles and scrapings of the hero’s spearhead were applied to the wound. Now the injury could heal. This is homeopathy – “Like cures Like”.
Minimal Dose
In order to prepare a homeopathic remedy from a substance, this substance is first ground down with mortar and pestle and diluted, and later repeatedly succussed and diluted. These two steps form the preparation of a remedy. Two hundred years ago, the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, discovered that remedies which had been “potentized” in this way developed stronger healing powers than they had in their original form. Ordinary salt (Natrium muriaticum), for example, hardly displays any healing effects in its crude form. After being potentized, it turns into a highly-effective homeopathic remedy that can cure migraines, asthma, chronic inflammation, or depression.
C4-Homeopathy
C4-Homeopathy is a branch of homeopathy which focuses on the spiritual aspect of the remedy.
We are living in a time when we are expanding our consciousness to include more and more spiritual knowledge in our daily lives. This shift of consciousness is reflected in C4-Homeopathy. The emphasis of the healing work with the individual patient lies in finding the hidden message behind disease. The goal is to turn suffering into growth, thus helping patients find a new, higher level of health and wellness. This process is supported with handmade remedies.
