The Salmon and the Cycle of Trauma

Click on this link and join me at a creek with spawning salmon. I hope that you find it as exciting as I did.

Nice to hear you and be out in nature with you. I like the metaphors.

Thank you, Nancy. How does Rumi say: “Beyond right doing and wrong doing there is a field. I will meet you there.” Nature is such a field of truth and wisdom. I will meet you there.

Great video Roland! I like the analogy of the cycle of salmon going home and the cycle of trauma. The turning point in healing trauma is when a person is willing to face the fear, and as you say “to use the fear as a guide to go right into it in order to integrate the original pain.”
Then the person can start a new cycle and live a joyful life! Very beautiful analogy!

The video is a wonderful connection. Your ideas and words flow like the water in the stream. Thank you Roland for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.
